Vancouver police seize guns from e-scooter riders
Vancouver police say two recent incidents involving e-scooter riders led to the seizure of firearms, with firearms-related charges recommended in both cases.

Vancouver police say they seized two firearms from people riding e-scooters in separate incidents over the past several days.
In one case, the Vancouver Police Department said a rider fled officers after running a red light. Police later found the rider with a semi-automatic .22-calibre firearm, body armour and illicit drugs.
The suspect, identified by police as 32-year-old River Rain Peters, was wanted Canada-wide for being unlawfully at large. Peters now faces charges of possessing an unloaded prohibited or restricted firearm with readily accessible ammunition, possessing a firearm without a licence, and altering a firearm serial number.
In the second incident, police said an e-scooter rider was involved in a collision. Officers found an imitation firearm and a .22-calibre firearm at the scene, and the department said it is recommending firearms-related charges against that suspect.
