Dozens of dead fish spill onto east Richmond roadway
A truck appears to have spilled dozens of dead fish near the Highway 91 westbound off-ramp at Westminster Highway on Aug. 21, briefly blocking a left-turn lane.

Dozens of large, dead fish were scattered across part of an east Richmond intersection on the evening of Aug. 21 after what appeared to be a spill from a truck.
The incident occurred at about 6 p.m. near the westbound Highway 91 off-ramp at Westminster Highway. One of the left-turn lanes was blocked for a time, according to Richmond News.
Video posted by CK Manocha showed fish across the right lane and part of the intersection. Other social-media footage appeared to show a truck with two containers, including a blue one, tipped over as its remaining load spilled onto the roadway.
Later footage showed people moving the fish off the road and onto an island at the intersection. The road was cleared quickly, but it was not known what happened to the fish afterward.
