Canucks players take part in Surrey’s annual ‘The Jake’ charity golf fundraiser
Canucks players and alumni joined the 42nd Jake Milford Charity Invitational at Northview, raising funds for two team-linked charities.

Vancouver Canucks players and alumni were among the golfers at Northview in Surrey on Monday, Sept. 14, for the 42nd Jake Milford Charity Invitational Golf Tournament. Known as “The Jake,” the event honours former Canucks general manager Jake Milford, who died of pancreatic cancer in 1984.
The tournament supports the Canucks for Kids Fund and the Vancouver Canucks Alumni Foundation, raising $676,000 in 2025. Golf threesomes can cost up to $9,350 to play with Canucks players, coaches, management and alumni, with food, prizes and other perks included.
The Canucks for Kids Fund’s online 50/50 raffle opened Sept. 14 at 9 a.m. at vancouvercanucks5050.com. It runs through the Canucks training camp in Penticton and both pre-season games, closing Tuesday, Sept. 22, at the end of the second intermission during a game against the Calgary Flames. Proceeds will support wildfire relief in B.C.; the estimated jackpot is $100,000. Packages are five tickets for $10, 100 for $25, 225 for $50 and 500 for $100.
