New $2 Legion commemorative coin enters circulation
The Royal Canadian Mint is releasing three million commemorative toonies marking the Royal Canadian Legion’s 100th anniversary.

A new $2 commemorative coin honouring the Royal Canadian Legion’s 100-year mission is entering circulation across Canada, the Royal Canadian Mint says.
Artist Vlada Pashchenko’s design features the Legion crest, its remembrance motto and a kneeling Legion member giving a poppy to a child beside a mother. Poppies, maple leaves and the dates 1926-2026 frame the design. The reverse bears an effigy of King Charles III created by Canadian artist Steven Rosati.
The Mint plans to circulate three million coins: one million uncoloured coins and two million coloured coins. The Legion supports veterans, serving military members, RCMP members and their families.
Both versions are also available through the Mint, including a two-coin Collector Keepsake Card for $14.95 and a $187.96 boxed set with two encapsulated coins and two rolls.
