Langley Township council candidate Teresa Townsley was injured in a car crash on Monday, Oct. 5, while travelling to an afternoon all-candidates meeting. Langley Strong campaign manager Derek Robson confirmed she was injured and taken to hospital. He said her injuries were serious but not life-threatening.
In an email Tuesday afternoon, Robson said Townsley had been released from hospital and would be back up to speed soon. He said she was grateful to BC Emergency Health Services paramedics and the first responders who arrived quickly and cared for her. Townsley was also thinking of the other person involved in the crash and wished them a speedy recovery, Robson said. He added that Townsley and the Langley Strong team appreciated the kind wishes they had received from the community.
