Candidates from five parties will attend an Oct. 15 forum for Surrey and White Rock ridings
Three business organizations will host the forum ahead of B.C.’s Oct. 24 election. The venue will be announced later, and the public can submit questions for consideration by Oct. 5.
The Surrey & White Rock Board of Trade, Cloverdale District Chamber of Commerce and White Rock Business Improvement Association will host a provincial candidates forum on Thursday, Oct. 15. The venue will be announced later. The event starts at 5:30 p.m., ahead of the Oct. 24 B.C. election. It is open to business community members, residents and other community stakeholders, but only candidates from CentreBC, Conservative, Green, NDP and OneBC are invited.
A post on swrbot.com says the non-partisan forum will bring together candidates from the five parties seeking to represent all 10 ridings in Surrey and White Rock in the Legislative Assembly of British Columbia. The forum is intended to give candidates a chance to outline their priorities and answer questions about issues affecting businesses, workers, families and communities in the two communities. Questions may be emailed to aman@swrbot.com by Oct. 5 for consideration. The board of trade’s election candidate forums are streamed on its YouTube channel.
