Delta Police investigating at Richmond home

Police officers and vehicles have been stationed at a Richmond home since Wednesday morning. Residents first noticed Delta Police in the area of Bird and No. 5 roads on the evening of Wednesday, Sept. 2.

Richmond RCMP confirmed it is supporting the Delta Police Department’s investigation. On Thursday, Sept. 3, reader Mark Acosta reported seeing at least six police vehicles, people in hazmat suits, a tent and a Lower Mainland RCMP forensic vehicle at another Richmond home near Cambie and Shell roads.

Delta Police spokesperson Michael Whiteley confirmed that officers executed a search warrant in the 11700-block of Cambie Road as part of an ongoing investigation. He said no further information could be released while the investigation remains active, adding that information will be made available when appropriate.
