Vancouver police seek suspect in alleged assault on senior
Police have released a photo of a man suspected of pushing a 73-year-old man to the ground in Kitsilano on July 31, leaving the victim with head injuries.
Vancouver police are asking the public to help identify a suspect after a 73-year-old man was allegedly assaulted in Kitsilano late last month.
Police were called to West Broadway and Macdonald Street on July 31. Investigators believe the suspect had been yelling at passersby when the victim asked him to stop and move along. The two men then had a verbal confrontation, during which the suspect allegedly pushed the senior to the ground, police said. The victim suffered head injuries.
The suspect is described as a white man of medium build. He was shirtless and wearing grey shorts and white shoes at the time, according to police. Anyone who recognizes him is asked to call investigators at 604-717-3321.
