Planet Ice parking expected to be tight in Maple Ridge tonight
Two major events on Aug. 13 — the RCMP Musical Ride and a Maple Ridge Burrards playoff Game 7 — are expected to make parking scarce around Planet Ice from 5 to 9 p.m.
The City of Maple Ridge is warning drivers to expect limited parking around Planet Ice on Aug. 13 as the RCMP Musical Ride and the Maple Ridge Burrards’ WLA playoff Game 7 take place the same evening. The busiest period is expected from 5 to 9 p.m.
Burrards fans are asked to use the parking along the front of Planet Ice, accessed through the main gate. Visitors attending the RCMP Musical Ride should use the west side of the lot through Gate 2, or the southeast rear parking area through Gate 5.
Overflow parking is available within a short walk near Jim Robson Way and Lougheed Highway, as well as in the main lots at Albion Fairgrounds. People visiting Albion Sports Complex should allow extra time, expect heavier traffic and follow directions from traffic-control staff.
