Maple Ridge cyclist Maggie Coles-Lyster takes silver in Britain

Canadian cycling champion Maggie Coles-Lyster of Maple Ridge finished second in stage two of the Lloyds Tour of Britain Women, earning her second WorldTour podium of the 2026 season.

The 110.5-kilometre stage from Clitheroe to Blackpool ended in a bunch sprint on England’s northwest coast. Human Power Health positioned the 27-year-old behind stage winner Lorena Wiebes of Team SD Worx-Protime, and Coles-Lyster followed the Dutch rider’s line to take second.

Coles-Lyster said she was pleased with the result, which was her sixth podium of the season. She has returned strongly after surgery in 2025 to address flow limitation of the iliac artery, and said her consistency this season has given her motivation to build on the results.
