Langley City commissions outside review of municipal operations
Langley City has hired MNP LLP to review municipal services and operations, with recommendations on efficiency, governance and long-term planning expected this fall.

Langley City has selected MNP LLP to conduct an external effectiveness and efficiency review of municipal services and operations as the community grows and prepares for SkyTrain.
The consultant-led review will examine services, processes and work practices for opportunities to improve co-ordination, reduce bottlenecks, strengthen service delivery and make better use of technology and available resources.
The City said the work is intended to support responsive service, accountable use of taxpayer dollars and long-term planning. The assessment will address service delivery, workflow efficiency, resource allocation, governance, and the use of data and technology to support staff and council decision-making.
Chief administrative officer Francis Cheung said the independent review will help identify ways to improve processes while continuing to provide high-quality services. A final report is expected to go to council in fall 2026.
