Beverly Grace Larsen died Aug. 25, 2026, at Meadow Ridge Hospital in Maple Ridge. She was born Oct. 4, 1933, in Vancouver, B.C. She was predeceased by her husband of 43 years, Roy Larsen, her sister Doreen Leowen and many close friends.

She is survived by her children Deb Bowley, Charlene and Paul Thompson, Michele Bowley and Ron Dussault, and Robert Bowley, as well as five granddaughters and many great-grandchildren. Larsen first married at 18, worked for B.C. Telephone and later left work to raise a family. She taught Sunday school and travelled to Mexico on a housing missions project.

At 38, she was a single parent to four children and joined a singles square-dancing club, where she indirectly met Roy. They married in 1975 and lived with her four children on a four-acre hobby farm in Whonnock. She returned to work at 55 with Fraser home support and retired at 65. In Maple Ridge, she took part in a seniors walking club, tap and flamingo dance, and a bowling league. She loved music, dancing, piano, old mystery films and was a Blue Jays fan for almost 50 years.

The family thanked Dr. Kahtra, Ridge Meadows Hospital, care aides Nicole and Andrea on 2 West, Maple Ridge Community Services and Fraser Health. A private gathering to celebrate her life will be held Oct. 4.
