Pups in the Pool Night returns to Hammond Outdoor Pool
Maple Ridge residents and their dogs are invited to Hammond Outdoor Pool on Sept. 11 for a limited-capacity season-ending swim event.
The City of Maple Ridge will hold its second Pups in the Pool Night at Hammond Outdoor Pool on Friday, Sept. 11, from 6 to 8 p.m. The event follows the pool’s final public swim of the outdoor season.
Maple Ridge residents with proof of residency or an MR Proud sticker will be admitted free. Admission is $2 for each dog and owner aged 16 or older, and includes one dog and one human companion. Space is limited, with a waitlist to begin after capacity is reached.
Owners must be ready to enter the water and remain within arm’s reach of their dog. Dogs must be leashed when out of the pool, have current rabies vaccination proof, and be cleaned up after. Dogs showing aggressive behaviour will be asked to leave.
The Maple Ridge Leisure Centre is scheduled to reopen Wednesday, Sept. 14, after its annual maintenance shutdown. Recreation information is available at MapleRidge.ca/Recreation.
