Discovery Brewing plans to open in East Vancouver this year
The brewery at 310 Victoria Dr. will offer 12 house beers, shareable tapas-style dishes and a converted industrial space designed around a West Coast aesthetic.

Discovery Brewing plans to open this fall at 310 Victoria Dr. in East Vancouver. The new brewery is the project of longtime friends and co-founders Aleksander Zuber and Winston Lin, and will operate from a converted industrial building.
The founders say the opening menu will include 10 to 15 signature dishes built around shareable tapas-style plates. Planned offerings include a house burger, Discovery Fried Chicken, local cheese and meat boards, sardine puttanesca, fried olives, blistered shishito peppers, miso-maple Brussels sprouts and slow-cooked short-rib sliders. The kitchen will use spent brewing grain in custom flatbreads and other dishes.
Discovery Brewing plans to pour 12 house beers, ranging from light session beers to dark and experimental offerings. The initial list includes 815, a Munich-style Helles lager named for the earliest recorded year of brewing in Munich, and Lovelace, a West Coast Pilsner. Lin said 815 is intended to pair with the food menu, while Lovelace combines a crisp lager finish with hop-forward West Coast character and notes of strawberry, lemon-lime and fresh herbs.
The brewery says the space will feature skylight-driven natural light, warm wood tones, black and crimson accents, and custom seating, including a wooden dome booth for small groups. Zuber said the goal is to create an inviting neighbourhood destination for beer flights or meals shared with friends.
