Maple Ridge father of three Chris Sandve seeks SD42 school trustee seat
Chris Sandve says he would prioritize safe, inclusive schools, stronger literacy and numeracy foundations, and more classroom resources if elected.

Chris Sandve, a Maple Ridge father of three children who attend schools in the district, is running for an SD42 school board trustee position.
Sandve says his first priority would be working toward safe and inclusive schools, where students feel safe and respected. He also wants to strengthen foundational literacy and numeracy skills, saying progress has been made but more support is needed for students and teachers in critical areas.
His third priority is additional classroom support. Sandve says he would work with fellow trustees to direct every dollar toward increased classroom resources. A senior manager at a major public utility, he says his work has given him experience in board governance and budgets.
Sandve says he would work collaboratively with fellow trustees to achieve the best outcomes for students if elected. Questions about his platform can be emailed to sandve@gmail.com.
