Haney Block Party draws nearly 13,000 people in Maple Ridge
Nearly 13,000 people attended the fifth annual Haney Block Party, a free Maple Ridge event featuring Aaron Pritchett, motocross performances and family activities.

Nearly 13,000 people attended the Haney Block Party on Saturday at Haney Builders’ Supplies in Maple Ridge, according to event spokesperson Laura Johnson.
The free event was in its fifth year and nearly doubled in size from the previous year, Johnson said. Country singer Aaron Pritchett, from northern B.C., headlined with a 90-minute set that ran until 11 p.m.
The program also included Global FMX Freestyle Motocross, vendors, food, a bouncy castle, a carnival ride and other children's entertainment. Lauren Webb and the Venus and Mars Band performed, followed by an after-party at The Ranch Bar and Grill.
Owners Tom Stinson and Sherry Christie host the event as a community thank-you from their long-running family business. Haney Builders’ Supplies was established in 1938 and has been in the family since 1964, Johnson said.
