Circus Day coming to Haney Farmers Market

The Haney Farmers Market will hold Circus Day in downtown Maple Ridge on Saturday, Aug. 29, for its final market of August.

Performers from the Cirque des Morts Vaudeville Society will join the North Fraser Farmers Market Society for aerial silks, contortion and dance trapeze performances. Circus props will also be available for visitors of all ages to try.

A caricature artist will attend, and the market society says it is the last week for corn. The market will include farmers, artisans, bakers, prepared-food vendors and community groups, with music by JD Miner.

The Haney Farmers Market runs every Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Memorial Peace Park until Oct. 26.
