Maple Ridge to consider growth-area zoning changes and 153-unit townhouse plan
Council will consider zoning changes for transit-oriented growth areas and a proposal for 153 market townhouse units at 11089 240 St.

Maple Ridge council is scheduled to consider two zoning bylaws affecting transit-oriented growth areas and a proposed townhouse development at 11089 240 St.
Bylaw No. 8126-2026 would create four new zones supporting medium- and high-density development in key growth areas covered by the Town Centre, Lougheed Transit Corridor and Hammond area plans. Council will consider waiving its public hearing; affected people may comment before that vote, but no further input would be accepted if the hearing is waived.
Bylaw No. 8127-2026 would rezone 11089 240 St. from RS-3 to RM-1 and RUR. The plan would enable a future 153-unit market strata townhouse development and three RUR lots, including a site-specific reduction in the RUR minimum lot area from 450 to 360 square metres.
A public hearing for Bylaw 8127 is prohibited. The bylaws go to committee of the whole at 9 a.m. on July 21 and are scheduled for first and additional readings at 7 p.m. on July 28, both at city hall, 11995 Haney Place.
Documents can be reviewed from July 17 to July 28 at city hall or at MapleRidge.ca/CouncilMeetings.
