Volunteers sought for Maple Ridge Rivers Day celebration
ARMS is recruiting volunteers for its 33rd annual Rivers Day event at ALLCO Park on Sept. 27, with roles ranging from setup to supporting exhibitors.

The Alouette River Management Society is looking for volunteers for its 33rd annual Rivers Day celebration in Maple Ridge.
The event is scheduled for Sunday, Sept. 27, from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at ALLCO Park, 13255 Alouette Rd., beside the Alouette River.
Volunteers are needed for setup and takedown, greeting visitors, assisting activities and exhibitors, keeping the site clean and providing general event support. ARMS says people may volunteer for a few hours or for the full day; no experience is required, and lunch will be provided.
The celebration marks BC Rivers Day and World Rivers Day. Organizers say it will include more than 25 environmental exhibitors, salmon sugar cookies, face painting, balloon animals, reptiles from West Coast Exotics and musical entertainment.
