Maple Ridge extends deadline for emergency service provider information request
Businesses and service providers have until Sept. 18 to identify services and supplies they could provide during emergencies in Maple Ridge or neighbouring communities.

The City of Maple Ridge has extended to Sept. 18 the deadline for businesses, organizations and service providers to respond to a Request for Information supporting its Emergency Operations Plan. The City is seeking local and regional suppliers that could provide services and supplies as requested during emergencies.
Services would be coordinated through the City’s Emergency Operations Centre and could be needed in Maple Ridge or neighbouring communities, depending on an emergency’s nature and location. The City says the advance planning will help support residents, evacuees and animals during floods, fires and earthquakes, including evacuations from homes.
The request covers facilities for supply staging and distribution, evacuation reception centres or alternate emergency operations; reception-centre equipment; commercial accommodation; food and grocery services; animal evacuation and support; transportation; and basic-needs supplies such as pharmacy services and vouchers for clothing and other essentials.
The RFI is intended to identify available services and capacity before an emergency and is not a contract award or commitment to purchase services. Responses are due by 2 p.m. Pacific Time on Friday, Sept. 18, 2026. Documents are available free through BC Bid at www.bcbid.gov.bc.ca, where addenda, amendments and further information will be posted.
