Maple Ridge community safety pop-up set for Aug. 26

Maple Ridge’s next Be Downtown Community Safety Pop-Up is scheduled for Wednesday, Aug. 26, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Maple Ridge Square Shopping Mall, 22441 Dewdney Trunk Rd.

The recurring events run every second Wednesday from May 20 through Sept. 9 and are intended to connect residents and businesses with the city’s Community Safety Team. Attendees can report safety concerns or problem properties, access information about supports and outreach teams, and provide feedback on the downtown experience.

Visitors can also enter a draw for two VIP tickets to the city’s Our Neck of the Woods event, city merchandise and gift cards from local businesses. Be Downtown is a collaboration involving the City of Maple Ridge, Maple Ridge RCMP, the Downtown Maple Ridge Business Improvement Association and the Chamber of Commerce.
