Divers’ Catch Festival returns to Steveston in September
The second Divers’ Catch Festival will showcase sustainably hand-harvested B.C. seafood at the Gulf of Georgia Cannery in Richmond on Sept. 19.

The BC Dive Fisheries Society will hold its second Divers’ Catch Festival on Saturday, Sept. 19, at the Gulf of Georgia Cannery in Steveston, Richmond. The event returns after its inaugural edition sold out.
The festival highlights geoduck, sea urchin and sea cucumber harvested one at a time by divers in B.C. waters. Organizers say the event is intended to connect diners with the divers and harvesters behind the fisheries.
A lineup of chefs, including Ned Bell, Bo Li, Chanthy Yen, Dez Lo, Masayoshi Bab and Roger Ma, will prepare seafood dishes paired with local wines, beer, non-alcoholic drinks and desserts.
Sessions run from 5:30 to 7 p.m. and 7:30 to 9 p.m. Tickets cost $138.88 per person, including tax. The cannery is located at 12138 Fourth Ave. in Richmond.
