Maple Ridge residents are invited to attend free Lobby Nights at The ACT Arts Centre beginning Tuesday, Sept. 15. The events will run at 7 p.m. on Tuesday evenings throughout the 2026–27 performance season, rotating among three arts-based experiences.

The series will turn The ACT lobby into a gathering space where residents can connect with the arts. The city says the informal weekday programming was developed in response to community interests and feedback, offering flexible opportunities for creative participation.

SongStage will be held every second Tuesday of the month, with featured guest performances, an open mic for original material and a café-style setting for singers, musicians and songwriters. Live @ The ACT, scheduled for every third Tuesday, is an open-stage program for performers of all experience levels and welcomes music, poetry, comedy, dance, acting and spoken word; registration is available.

Golden Ears Writers will meet every fourth Tuesday in partnership with the group, exploring storytelling with aspiring and established writers. Participants can share ideas, take part in discussions and receive feedback from professional literary mentors.

Russ Brummer, manager of Arts, Culture & Events, said the return of Lobby Nights reflects a commitment to accessible, community-driven arts programming. The series is delivered with Maple Ridge artists, non-profit organizations, educational institutions and community groups.
