The Pacific National Exhibition says its 2026 opening weekend drew a strong response, including from visitors from Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows.

PNE spokesperson Laura Ballance said the NFL Canada Fan Zone, the British Columbia tattoo and 4-H activities were among the early attractions that proved popular. The fair continues through Labour Day, Monday, Sept. 7.

The PNE is closed on Aug. 24 and Aug. 31, but is otherwise open daily from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Visitors can expect rides, food, live entertainment, special events and family programming.

New attractions beginning Aug. 25 include pony rides and Archery in the City, both offered daily in the livestock barns. Other listed attractions include Wizard of Oz On Ice, SuperDogs, the Nerveless Nocks daredevil circus, LEGO animal sculptures, roaming entertainers and summer-night concerts.
