Parking impacts expected at Planet Ice and Albion Fairgrounds on Aug. 13

Maple Ridge residents should expect significant parking and traffic impacts around Planet Ice and the Albion Fairgrounds & Sports Complex on Aug. 13 from 5 to 9 p.m.

The Burrards Lacrosse game finals and the RCMP Musical Ride are being held at the same time, and the city expects a higher volume of vehicles at both facilities.

Burrards attendees are asked to use the parking stalls at the front of Planet Ice, accessible from the main gate. Guests attending the RCMP Musical Ride should use the west side of the Planet Ice lot through Gate 2, or the southeast rear lot through Gate 5.

Overflow parking for either event will be available at the lot at Jim Robson Way and Lougheed Highway, as well as the Albion Fairgrounds main lots. Residents are asked to plan ahead and follow directions from traffic-control personnel.
