Three hospital foundations have formed the South Fraser Healthcare Alliance, seeking more local health-care and long-term-care capacity. The group says Fraser Health has the province’s lowest per-person funding and longer waits for long-term-care beds.

Vancouver Police Department would not confirm or deny a report that a man killed in a Langley shooting had received a warning about a threat to his life months earlier. The 23-year-old was shot on Oct. 5 beside a restaurant; investigators are seeking witnesses and dashcam footage.

Rohe Homes says it delivered a 1,220-square-foot, two-bedroom carriage home in one day in late September, with the structure roofed and enclosed by Day Two. A young family expects to finish the home behind their parents’ house by early December.
